Is it Friday Yet?

I don't know why sometimes a week will appear to fly by while others just seem to slow down. I guess as I get older I should start appreciating the slow weeks, but I am always so anxious to get to Friday, I sometimes forget to stop and smell the flowers.

I am thinking that I am going to offer a free file on Fridays. It may be here on this blog or you may have to go play hunt and seek at the CuttersMarket site. The purpose of offering the files is to let you try them out and hopefully like what I create.

To this end, I am going to ask you to please think about the files you would like to see. You can post here on the blog or you can send me an email directly to accentsbyeddita@gmail.com

I will get the information in either case.

Now, I have just posted a really cute card over at CuttersMarket. If you are looking for a quick and easy card for Mom (reminder...the clock is ticking) this may be just what you are looking for!

You can use the file as it is or you can use just the word Mom....or just the little vase with the flowers....or just the flowers...resize it, rotate it, mirror it...make it your own, it's your card!

If you use it, please send me a pic and I will be happy to post it here the same as I would do with anything you make. Also, if you send me a picture of something you have made with a file purchased file CuttersMarket, I will send you a single file of your choice as a thank you. That's like getting 2 for 1!

Well, enough rambling for now! I hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the night (or day depending on where you are located!).

Don't forget, send me your ideas for free files...you never know when your suggestion will show up!

Rainy Monday & Happy Graduation (.KNK & .GSD)

Went out this morning to run some errands and boy is it pouring! At least I have a second to sit down and catch up on a bit here.

I have been a bit busy making new files to share on here as well as for sell. I just finished adding a couple of new files in anticipation of upcoming graduations. What an exciting time for family's!

I created a file for both a girl as well as a boy. It would look cute on the front of an invitation or as part of a Scrapbook Page layout.
While the pictures posted at CuttersMarket are nice, they don't show all of the details too clearly. To help you see them better I have attached them to this blog.

Hope everyone is well!

I am adding more each week, so if there is anything special you would like to see, let me know!

Thanks for stopping by,
Eddita

Free Cow File (.KNK & .GSD formats)

As I said previously I am pretty new to this so let's see if I can do this right! Every so often I will be sharing a file with you that you can download free!

I used to live near tons of cows but with time, more people coming to the area means new growth, new construction and fewer farms. We still have a small operation nearby but sadly nothing like the way it used to be.

This was the inspiration for what I simply call "COW". This file can be used for the front of a card (as shown in my little pictured example)as well as a layout of a school trip to a farm or if you use your cutter for vinyl or t'shirts transfers a cool look for your car or wardrobe! The choices are yours!

Do me a favor, if you use it, please send me a quick email with a copy of your finished product so I can share it here.

Thanks!
Eddita

Hello Everyone

I have always liked to craft and have been doing it as far back as I remember.

One of the things I like the most is making and receiving hand made cards. I personally, never throw them away as I am always amazed by the wonderful talented person who gave it to me and know that they took the time to make it for me with love.

I know I'm not alone in this because I remember reading a question in a papercrafting magazine from a lady who wondered if people even cared if they received a hand-made card. The overwhelming response was YES! People love them and like myself, don't throw them away.

Sometimes they will even "re-card" them (cut the top off and glue it to a brand new card). Of course, on the back they will write the name of the person who originally created it. Now before you protest, you have to admit this is much better than re-gifting the 200 year old fruit cake in your closet!

Anyway, I digress. The reason I am starting this blog is that I received a cutter as a Christmas present and have spent countless hours working up designs that can be used for card fronts as well as for scrapbooking pages.

I have started to sell my designs at CuttersMarket. Just click on this link to get there. The two formats currently available are:
  • GSD Format - which are compatible with Craft Robo, Silhouette & Wishblade Machines.
  • KNK Format - which is compatible with the Klic-N-Kut machine
I will be sharing images of the designs I have for sale here for you to look at. I will also be adding "free files" for you to download in the near future.

I really love when a person makes a specific request for a file. It gets me thinking and creating! Once I am finished, the response is always positive. One person asked for a title called "Diaper Time" for her scrapbook layout page and specified that she wanted an image of a diaper for the letter "D". I think it turned out great and so did she. Tell me what you think!

If you have any questions or comments, or if you are looking for a specific design or title, you can reach me at AccentsByEddita@gmail.com

Until next time!
